They've been playing a commercial on TV here for the Broadway play Spiderman which of course features the song "Rise Above" which features Bono.

Never bought the soundtrack but I did just download the song from iTunes for my Ipod.
Do we consider this song important in the U2 canon? It sounds like a U2 song and goes well into any U2 comp.

Any other completists buy this one for that reason?

I bought the cast recording CD when it was released--no surprise.

I'm surprised you never hear the song on radio despite it being very catchy and featuring Bono. Glad I could pick up the song though without having to buy the entire soundtrack (which I would never play). One reason I love iTunes.

I bought the disc for my U2 collection.

I picked it up too!
I like U2.
I collect comics.
I admire Julie Taymor's work.
...no-brainer!

I also bought it and like a good bit of the music just fine.
