Amy Winehouse 'ready to record new album'
Amy Winehouse is ready to record the follow up to 2006’s ’Back To Black’, according to producer Mark Ronson.
The duo, who collaborated on that record, are planning to hit the studio in November.
Ronson said: “As soon as I finish up the Daniel Merriweather record I am going back into the studio with Amy Winehouse to work on her new record."
He added: “She is actually dying to go back into the studio already. I was in London last weekend and I saw Amy and we actually talked about maybe finding a studio together. She is kind of ready now but we are on tour and she can't go in November because she is on tour so we are figuring it out.”
Explaining her writing process, Ronson said: “She pretty much writes everything just her on the acoustic guitar. So she will come in with a song and it sounds kind of like a jazz standard. I’ll come up with the arrangement and maybe mess with the chords and beats and see what the guitars and bass will be doing.
“And the only song [on the last album] we actually collaborated on was ’Back To Black’ where I came up with the piano and the music and then she wrote on top of it. And she writes incredibly quickly.
“When she’s in her zone she is just really clever and her lyrics are really special.”
Speaking about the possible influences on the forthcoming album, he told Rolling Stone: “I think that we can’t do the same thing again, it can’t be like a 60s element or Motown. If anything, I’d really like to make it sound older or more morbid or like really wal of sound. But I don’t want to second guess before I actually hear the songs.”

Amy Winehouse to find inspiration in Jamaica – Tabloid Hell
Amy Winehouse has plans to head off to Jamaica ahead of the recording of her third album, according to the Daily Mirror.
Winehouse will apparently stay in the grounds of Bob Marley’s home and work in the studio there.
It has also been mooted that she will with Marley’s musician son Damian Marley.
The singer apparently revealed all whilst standing outside her local The Hawley Arms in Camden, saying "I love Jamaica and wanna feel Bob Marley’s spirit in my music."
According to the newspaper an onlooker commented, "Amy’s face just lit up when she talked about going over there."

Brooklyn OWNS this charmer!
How's she gonna find time to record an album with all the damage still left to be done?

Moved so d*** many times in 6 years what's the point?
I hope she gets to her third too. I thought Back in Black was very good. The more you see of her life the more you understand how many of the lyrics were real expressions of the troubles in her life (and I don't mean Rehab, there are many more intense songs on the album). If she is able to come out on the other side of these problems she could produce something very powerful.

Amy Winehouse preparing new, 'darker' album - Tabloid Hell
The forthcoming third album from Amy Winehouse is described as being 'very dark' by friends who have heard it, with many songs themed around the subject of death.
According to The Sun, Winehouse has hit new lows in her personal life, and her emotions are being reflected in songwriting sessions for the new record.
The newspaper quotes an anonymous source as saying: "Her next album is darker than ever. Her problems are pushing her over the edge and she's turning into a depressed recluse.
"She's written quite a lot of the third album already. It is very, very dark but she produces some of her best music when she's in pain - and the past few months have been hell for her."

No new Amy Winehouse album until 2009?
Amy Winehouse has reportedly cancelled recording sessions with producer Saleem Remi, with sources suggesting that she will not release a new album until 2009.
According to The Sun, Winehouse had been booked to fly to the Bahamas to begin working on her third album with Remi, who produced her 2003 debut album 'Frank'.
However, Winehouse reportedly pulled the plug on the sessions shortly before she was scheduled to fly out.
The newspaper quotes an anonymous source as saying: "The album was planned for late 2008, but her label is now privately admitting it's unlikely to happen until 2009."
Amy Winehouse has apparently recorded a new song which features a sample from a song from the musical 'The Wizard Of Oz'.
According to The Sun the singer has sampled the main theme song of the classic musical, which was originally released in 1939 and starred Judy Garland.
The newspaper reports that the song is set to appear on Winehouse's next studio album.
An anonymous source is quoted as saying, "One of her [Winehouse]'s new songs heavily samples the theme tune.
"The soundtrack and score will be a theme running throughout the [complete] record."
Amy Winehouse may not make another album after difficulties finishing songs, according to sources.
The 'Rehab' singer has already spent six months in the studio but has only come up with two unfinished songs, reports The Sun.
A source told the paper: "With all the problems surrounding her personal issues and addictions we are really concerned it will never get finished. If six months produces two half-baked tracks how long will an album take?
"Unless she sorts herself out and gets some focus it might never happen."
Amy Winehouse was booed at her final scheduled gig at Bestival earlier this month, after taking the stage 35 minutes late.
The singer has temporarily given up performing to concentrate on making the follow-up to 2006's 'Back To Black'.

I'm with you 100% Renny, I'm tired of hearing about her, don't care about her, and saw nothing in her Back to Black album to merit a second lesson. To my ears, Duffy is 10 times better and for those of you interested, Duffy is the musical guest next week on SNL.
Amy Winehouse has reached the demo stage in the production of her forthcoming new album, the follow-up to the hugely successful 'Back To Black'.
Lucian Grange, Chairman and Chief Executive of Winehouse's label, Universal Music Group, told BBC 6Music that the troubled singer had played him demos of the new material and previewed some of the songs live.
"I've heard some demos," he said. "I've heard some simple acoustic songs that she's played me in my office on acoustic guitar, and what I've heard has been sensational."
The forthcoming album will be the singer's first since October 2006.
"I believe in her as a person and I certainly believe in her as an artist and that's what I hope for," Grange added.
Amy Winehouse has claimed that she has given up taking drugs - and is planning to record new material soon.
In an interview with News Of The World while on holiday in St. Lucia, the singer said she had given up illegal substances since the start of 2009.
"Before I came out here I looked at a photo of myself in the newspaper and was horrified," she said. "I thought to myself, 'Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you'll be dead soon.'"
"I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Home is hell for me. I've escaped from it. There are drugs everywhere. I can't do anything without everyone thinking I'm off my head on drugs, although half the time they were right, I was.
"But here I feel so calm and peaceful and for the first time I can definitely say I am off the drugs. I haven't touched anything since I arrived and I feel the best I have in years."
Winehouse went on to say that she wanted to begin recording new material soon. "All I've done is read books, sunbathe and drink cocktails," she said. "But it's made me feel like concentrating on my career again.
"Most nights I've done a few songs on the piano for a laugh but I'm starting to think about recording again. I want to capture how happy I am right now in some new songs."
The star's last album was the huge-selling 'Back To Black' in 2006.
Amy Winehouse has said that she will release her next studio album no later than January next year.
The singer told Metro that the album would echo the sound of 2006's huge-selling 'Back To Black', her last release.
"The album will be six months at the most," she said. "It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are… just jukebox, really."
She added: "I just can't wait to have some new songs on stage, really."
Amy Winehouse made a live comeback of sorts recently, playing on stage with Mark Ronson at London's 100 Club.
