First album in five years form one of the great unsung pop bands. Led by Roddy Bottum of Faith No More, in existence for 16 years, this is pop music of the highest order. All of their studio albums are 5 star raters as far as I'm concerned, but this is something different. The keyboards are more upfront, the harmony vocals are full on all the time, the hooks are, well, hookier (not that they ever lacked for 'em). Make no mistake, these aren't kids, and it's a very adult album, but it's crammed with wonderful pop/rock songs of top shelf quality, filled with love, emotion and just flat out joy in making a noise. And they rock, and they make you want to dance around the room with a big stupid grin. Streaming over at SPIN. 1. Runaway 2. No Matter What You Say 3. Last To Know 4. Over His Head 5. Hanging About 6. All The Same 7. Don't Know How You Do It 8. Out From Inside 9. The Hibernates 10. It's You 11. On first listen, this sounds as good as anything they've done, which is saying a lot. It's great to have them still around and making music this good.

One of the best "unkown" bands, I have all of their recordings as well and just love them. Thanks for the tip Ralph, didn't know they even had a new album out. Need to get this ASAP! Rick A.
