Sixth studio album (and first since 2007's Chinese Boxes) from the acclaimed Nashville singer and songwriter Kim Richey. Already released in Europe and Australia on May 17 2010, Wreck Your Wheels sees an American release on September 14, on the Thirty Tigers label.

Product Description
The stunning new album from two-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Kim Richey. Produced by Neilson Hubbard and recorded in Nashville, Wreck Your Wheels is the follow up to her critically acclaimed 2007 release Chinese Boxes. Richey, who splits her time between London and Nashville, co-wrote all 11 tracks on Wreck Your Wheels with a mix of American and UK songwriters, including Mark Olson (Jayhawks), Will Kimbrough, Pat McLaughlin and Boo Hewerdine.

Wreck Your Wheels is Richey's sixth album in a 15-year career that has never been defined by a single genre. Artists ranging from Trisha Yearwood to James Morrison have recorded Richey's songs, and her voice has enhanced albums by artists from Mary Chapin Carpenter to Ryan Adams. There is something truly special that happens when Richey's beautifully crafted songs are interpreted by the writer herself. The warmth of her vocals on top of the delicate textures of the arrangements creates an album of powerful subtlety and grace.

1. Wreck Your Wheels
2. Careful How You Go
3. Leaving 49
4. For A While
5. Keys
6. When The Circus Comes To Town
7. In The Years To Come
8. 99 Floors
9. Once In Your Life
10. Back To You
11. Word To The Wise

from DirectCurrentMusic.com :

Wreck Your Wheels was recorded in Nashville last year and features co-writing credits with The Jayhawk's Mark Olson, English blues/pop singer and '09 Brit Award nominee Beth Rowley and the always dependable U.K. writer (and Eddi Reader collaborator) Boo Hewerdine. The vibe throughout Wheels is warm and inviting, the relaxed Americana atmosphere richly textured even when the folk-pop instrumental backing is spare. Richey's plaintive, emotionally composed singing has never sounded more appealing on songs such as the lovely, downbeat Hewerdine co-write "Keys", the bittersweet gem "99 Floors," or the haunting ballad "Back To You". Languid but never lax, Wreck Your Wheels is a revelation of small gestures, low heat and the power of restraint. Highly recommended.

psst, Renny:
According to the tour dates on her website, Kim Richey is scheduled to play the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, on October 16

Wonder if there will be any bonus tracks options this time? The last one was pretty good.

Finally picked this up yesterday at the Borders sale for around $3.50. It's very good, one of her best.
