Tabor keeps turning out one good album after another. In a 35 (or so) year career, she has never made a bad one. I loved Freedom and Rain except for "Night Comes In", which I wish they hadn't done as a shuffle. I eagerly await this one.

The Topic Records link above includes a nice interview about the upcoming album with June and one of the guys from Oyster Band (sorry I don't know them very well). You can also hear 3 complete songs, including their take on Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart"! I am looking forward to this, though I am admittedly a fairweather fan of June's since I find her albums to be somewhat same-y and dirge-like!

There's no doubt that the differences between albums are sometimes subtle, and you hit the nail right on the head about the dirge-like quality. That's part of what appeals to me about them-great music for funerals and the broken-hearted.
