2012 marked the 50th anniversary of the greatest American band, The Beach Boys. To mark this momentous occasion, the band reunited to tour the country as well as a number of International concerts. The fans were thrilled to see Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks on the same stage again, playing all the hits and more. This magical tour is now captured on the 41 track collection, Live-The 50th Anniversary Tour.

Another screwup! These shows featured around 50 tracks. First we get the home video release with less than half of the tracks and now we get this set which is closer, but still short of the full setlists. Why can't they do this right?

Just off the top of my head it looks like no "Kiss Me Baby", "It's OK" and "Don't Worry Baby". Would have to search the set lists to find more.

They didn't always do It's OK, which bummed me out at the Hollywood Bowl show. Still a great show.

Also, rumor is some of the songs ommitted from this live release may appear on the box set due in August.

Stopped in "Wally World" today, my lab was hungry and looked to see if the new Beach Boys was available (not). Surprising since they ran the limited edition to mark the even of the reunion. Not to leave empty handed I found that they did have two Lynyrd Skynyrd "Southern Surrounding" The Ultimate Collection" for $11.99 which I could not find locally anywhere. Grabbed both!

As a casual BB fan (one of my first lps was Beach Boys Live) I think that it is very good...wish there were some Smiley Smile tunes on here like Vegetables but they probably didn't cover that one during the tour.

I bought this yesterday, scheduled for play later today.
