This past week, I heard a song called "MoneyGrabber" on our awesome public radio station, WYEP (91.3 where the music matters). I had to check their playlist to find out who it was. It is a great song, and if you like Eli "Paperboy" Reed or Sharon Jones And The DapKings, you will probably like this. Here is their official video for that song:

Very cool others are discovering it. Too bad I was too late in hearing them: they were just in Pittsburgh earlier this month!

I'd been hearing "Moneygrabber" on the radio and thought it was an amazing tune, but never heard who it was by. I checked out the Amazon daily mp3 deal and saw the track listing, and there it was. I bought it on the spot, over my phone. I'm listening to it now and LOVING it.

This is an Important Record.

I bought this last fall and I love it. Saw them on MTV2's Subterranean (the video for "Moneygrabber") and I thought right away-wow, this has groove, soul, hooks and it rocks! I dig it quite a bit. It's a little derivative, but it's still a great deal of fun.
