The last few years, we've been hit with a barrage of uninspired cover albums by classic rock artists. And each one is less inspired than the previous one.
Finally, someone has come along to show the others how to do a real album of classic rock covers.
That man is Vince Neil.
Now, I can finally hear a cover of Creedence's "Who'll Stop The Rain" that will almost rival the original. After hearing this version, Rod Stewart should retire and move away to some third world country. I wouldn't be surprised if John Fogerty joins Vince onstage some day to really knock this song outta the park!
And even Johnny Rotten will have to admit that Vince does the Sex Pistols better than they ever did.
And just to show that he's ahead of the pack of cover album wannabes, he's even doing a cover of a Motley Crue song that was obviously so ahead of its time that it wasn't considered good enough when it was first written.
That, my friends, is genius.
