Will this actually come to pass? Your guess is as good as mine, but you can stream (and download) "Electrosnake" for yourself...

When I saw Adams in concert he wore a Dio shirt, and on Letterman he wore an Iron Maiden shirt. I think he has fun with it, but I think he's a closet Metalhead.

Doesn't sound metal to me at all.
Sounds more like his stuff from his "Rock n Roll" album with crappier vocals.

Was reading about this on Google/drowned in sound/blogs etc, & look where I ended up!

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan - Boy does he need to go find Ethan Johns for a while...

It sounds like a shit 'rock & roll' b-side to me. It's certainly not up there with about 15 of his unreleased albums from back in the day.

Gotta love that he's gone from the horrible Dad rock AOR that was Cardinology, to an album that apparently his most devoted fans will pretend to love & 'get the joke' from for a few days, while the rest of us sit here waiting for the big reveal of a "proper RA album" a month later...

In retrospect, I wish I had appreciated 'Cold Roses' & '29' more when they came out, the last really good albums he did, if overlong.. & sadly, I wish he'd ditched the cardinals at that point, looking back at what followed...

Fingers crossed that this stuff is just a precursor to something, anything, that is remotely like 'love is hell' or 'heartbreaker'.

Oh wow. You summed it up perfectly. Ryan was a religion for me for a couple of years but I really long for an album like Gold again. He's left be a bit cold with everything he's put out since Cold Roses.
It's time for Ryan to come out with another really strong album like Gold or Cold Roses. I consider those albums classics. Love Is Hell was somewhat overshadowed by Rock n' Roll at the time it was released, but it's become one of my favorites also.
Hopefully, Orion is the side dish to an amazing main course!

Bump: ORION was a limited edition vinyl only release via Adams' Pax Americana label on May 24 and is already sold out.
