I've not been all that impressed by his past non-Steinman albums, but I'll still likely buy it.

I've not been all that impressed by any of his post-Steinman albums, and I'll pass on any further non-Steinman albums.

I'm a little annoyed that he's glomming onto "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" with the album title.

At least it's not Bat Out Of Hell 87: Final Exit From Hell.

Bump...tracks added.
This is a concept album with a very odd concept. I think it's going to sink like a stone, but of course I'll likely buy it anyway.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a candidate here for "Worst Album of 2010" and possibly of the decade. Sample lyrics: "I can hardly keep my dick in my pants/California isn't big enough for me." Egad, I'd have been embarrassed by those lines at age 12, and there are plenty more jewels spread across this Godawful mess. Save for Brain May's guitar work during the opening and closing minutes of "Love Is Not Real," this one is absolutely worthless.

The cover reminds me of a KISS cover.

Meat Loaf is my all-time favorite singer, but the two tracks I've heard have not been good.

Steve wrote: Bat out of Hell I and II are classics. The rest... I agree 100% Steve. Those 2 albums are some of the best music ever made. Bat III wasn't bad but it does not come close to these. It's too bad Steinman does have more output for Meat Loaf to sing.

How is Jim Steinman's Bad For Good album? This was the album that was supposed to be the follow up to Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell, but for whatever reason, didn't end up so. I always thought the album cover was very cool.

I always thought the album cover was very cool. I always like that album Chris...I have it on CD and I give it a listen once in a while. Some of the songs from that album are on Bat II and Bat III. I also like Deadringer, which was also a Steinman album...this time with Meat Loaf singing. Steinman's voice was pretty good also. The reason is wasn't a Meat Loaf album was because Meat lost his voice from drug use. If you listen to Deadringer, you can hear what happened to his voice.

Actually, Mark, I just watched Meat Loaf's Behind The Music and they covered Meat's breakdown after Bat Out Of Hell and his inability to sing.
At the end of the program, they show Meat in the studio, working on his current album.

What I never knew, and still find it hard to believe, is that Rory Dodd sang lead vocals on "Rock-n-Roll Dreams Come Through" from the Steinman album. It sounds like Steinman singing, comparing it to the other songs on the album, but it's not him...supposedly.
