Von Bondies to return with new album

The Von Bondies have confirmed the release of a new album for 2009.

The Detroit garage rockers will release 'Love, Hate, And Then There's You' on February 3 in the US through new label Majordomo. A UK release is likely to be confirmed shortly.

The album will be preceded by a limited edition single 'Pale Bride' on November 18, ahead a full-scale single release. The song is backed by 'Falling In Love'.

The group's first record since 2004's 'Pawn Shoppe Heart' was jointly produced by Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), Peter Katis (Interpol) and Butch Walker (Hot Hot Heat).

"We would have signed a lot sooner," joked singer Jason Stollsteimer on the band's MySpace blog, "but it took us four years to find a pen."

So far, the band have announced the following US dates, with more expected to be confirmed:

TT the Bars, Cambridge, Massachusetts (October 27)
Crofoot, Pontiac, Michigan (31)
The Beat Kitchen, Chicago, Illinois (November 2)
Turf Club, Saint Paul, Minnesota (4)

The Von Bondies reveal new album tracklisting

The Von Bondies have revealed the tracklisting for their first new album in five years.

The follow-up to 2004's 'Pawn Shoppe Heart' is called 'Love, Hate And Then There's You' and is due out in the US on February 3, as previously reported. It features 12 tracks.

"It's a new band. You don't want to avoid your history but it is a new direction," said frontman Jason Stollsteimer in a statement. "It wasn’t on purpose - it's just where we were going."

The band are expected to announce US tour dates in support of the new album in the coming weeks.

The Von Bondies announce initial dates of spring tour

The Von Bondies have announced the first round of dates of an upcoming tour of North America to support the release of their brand new album.

The album, entitled 'Love, Hate And Then There’s You', will be released on February 3 via Majordomo Records and was produced by Butch Walker, who’s previously worked with Pink and Fall Out Boy, and Rick Parker, who’s worked with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Additional dates for the tour will be announced in early 2009.
