Oh man, why? Although there are some nice names on here, Little Feat should've called it quits when Craig Fuller left. Of course, after Lowell George passed away they really weren't Little Feat, but from 1988-1991 anyway, they were still damn good-I saw them live twice in '88 and '89 and they were great. But since Shaun Murphy joined they've been nothing but a poor cruise ship act at best.
This also reeks of desperation, not "locating influences". Wal Mart exclusive anyone?

I'm willing (sorry, bad pun) to give this one a chance, actually. I rarely listen to the Shaun-era studio albums, but this appears to be somewhat similar to the "Rock & Roll Doctor" Lowell George tribute, which turned out to have some really good performances. Besides, the members of Little Feat have a long history of backing other musicians, and the lineup here might prove interesting.

However, IP, I am in complete agreement with you regarding the constant cringe-worthy "guest stars" that the Rolling Stones continue to trot out on their recent tours and live releases. Those performances are usually forgettable, and should be avoided like the plague.

Since Lowell passed, Little Feat has no interest for me. I like Paul Barrere, & perhaps the band would have been stronger if he'd completely taken over, but that isn't what happened.

I agree, they should've stopped after Fuller left. I'll probably get this though for Seger, and Buffett alone...

The all-knowing naysayers here obviously haven't seen Little Feat in recent years. They still kick-it like nobody's business though I will admit they are like two different bands: one classic Feat and the other backing Shaun's over emotive delivery.

That said, this project obviously sees them coasting creatively but I'm guessing it'll still be enjoyable. I'm looking forward to hearing Bob Seger sing "Something In The Water" as I have no idea what album it's from. Perhaps it's a new track from Feat and Seger both?

I got an email from on this release that says that the Amazon version contains a bonus track.

The Amazon bonus track is NOT 'Let it Roll'. It appears to be a Sam Bush track. Mine just came in the mail, but I haven't listened to it yet. Kind of a bummer as I wanted the 'Let it Roll' track.

Interesting...the copy I got at 'Rama two weeks ago lists "I Will Play for Gumbo" w/ Sam Bush as a bonus track. Maybe there's not an exclusive track after all.

I guess it's possible that their is a hidden track, but, like I said, I haven't opened it yet.
