“Rockin’ Away was written in the summer of 2006 for the 30th Anniversary of the release of the first “Boston” record. It was the last song that Brad and I wrote together. In it, Brad reflects on how he became involved in music, and thanks his many fans for their years of loyalty. It was my hope that the song might lead to a rekindling of my relationship with the band. Unfortunately it did not. Brad’s family and I felt that his many fans would appreciate hearing his spectacular voice one more time on a new song. I hope that you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.”-Barry Goudreau

I bought the CD single + download. The single is $3.00, the download is $0.99 or you can get both for $3.50. The download is only 160 kbps, so you may just want to skip it and order the single. Shipping is added too, but I can't tell you exactly how much it is since I ordered another CD as well from the same site. It was pretty reasonable though for shipping as both the single and a full CD shipped for around $4.00.

For the record, the song is pretty good...better than one might expect. You can hear a sample of it before buying.

Goudreau's guitar was sorely missed in the Boston of the 80s and beyond, IMO.

Thanks for the heads up, Walter; I'll be sure to order this one.

Wow! Thanks so much Walter for bringing this to our attention. I'd stopped visiting the Boston site after Delp's passing, so probobly would neveer have known of this.
While "Corporate America" was a major disappointment, Delp and Goudreau's CD from a few years ago was miles better. I highly recommend it!

Any word on the future of "Boston"? I would assume that "Boston" is defunct and Tom Scholz has retired, unless we hear otherwise, and that his one-time-only stage reunion with Barry Goudreau & Fran Sheehan was basically a farewell.Certainly,we don't need any more turkeys like "Corporate America".

This tune sounds more like Boston than anything that band has released in years.

That's exactly what I said to my wife, while it was playing!

As far as the future of Boston, who knows?
Scholz utilized different lead singers for "Walk On", and the "new" tracks on "Greatest Hits". Even on "Corporate America" Delp was barely recognizable on it.
