Love those song titles! You'd think he'd write a song called Carnivore or something like that.

Here's the politically correct cover art for the new Nuge album...
TED NUGENT AND HIS NEW GRENADE:
Ted Nugent has updated his site with more news of the pending Love Grenade record, due out in a month or so. The album artwork is as subtle as ever for Ted and the full track listing is: Love Grenade, Still Raising Hell, GirlScout Cookies, Funk U, Journey, Geronimo & Me, EagleBrother, Spirit of the Buffalo, Aborigini, Stand, Broadside, Bridge Over Troubled Daughters.
Says the website: "The Nuge is back and bigger and louder than ever on Love Grenade, his first album in five years! With sure-fire classics like "Still Raising Hell" and "FUNK U", this baby is already smokin'. Pull the pin, and order yours today!"

I don't know. I gave up on him after "Wango Tango". Nothing he did during the 80's was in the least bit memorable, and the last album I heard of his (not "Craveman", but the one before) was terrible.

I am so glad he left Michigan. Texas can have him as long as it wants.

This album's going into general release on September 4th ~ the cover art is different from what Chris posted above:
>> So just who the hell does this Nugent guy think he is, anyway? Apparently, he is far beyond the thinking stage as he throttles mercilessly into his 5th decade of ferocious hi-energy Motor City Madhouse rhythm and blues-rock-n-roll mayhem. Look at the titles of these songs. The lyrics. Check out the title of this record. Listen to the sheer audacity and authority of this firestorm of rock. Doesn't this guy ever quit? Is he incapable of backing down? Can one man smile, laugh & dance this much in a single lifetime? Is it legal to have this much fun, defiance, energy and soul? Ted Nugent's legendary guitar identity is truly unique and special. If ever there was an unadulturated classic full bluntal, natural Gibson guitar tone, Nugent has created and perfected it. From the Amboy Dukes of the 1960s, through classic American anthems with his Ted Nugent band, the 1990s Damn Yankees right to this very day, the Nuge defines flat out American G-force horsepower rock with pure, unbridled enthusiasm, heart & soul. Here on LOVE GRENADE, once again surrounded by worldclass virtuoso musicians Barry Sparks and Tommy Clufetos, this is a band to reckon with.
Nugent's first studio album in 5 years, "Love Grenade" is a sonic assault on the body, mind and soul. Featuring the soon to be classic "Love Grenade", "Stand" and a 40th anniversary re-recording of the Amboy Dukes classic "Journey To The Center Of The Mind" this is Ted Nugent at his unadulterated finest. <<
1. Love Grenade
2. Still Raising Hell
3. Funk U
4. Girlscout Cookies
5. Journey to the Center of the Mind
6. Geronimo & Me
7. Eagle Brother
8. Spirit of the Buffalo
9. Aborigini

Hey, who are we to question the Nougat's taste?
After all, he is a flag-waving, patriotic, illegal immigrant-hatin', anti-pinko leftist prime Republican citizen. If we don't like the cover we can just shut up and leave the country....

Nugent did a phone interview on The O' Reilly Factor last night. There was a fill-in guy hosting, and he said that Nugent's onstage rant is the kind of name-calling personal attack that doesn't belong in political discourse.
Nugent didn't berate the guy or anything, he just said that's part of the Ted experience live and that's the way he is.
I used to think Nugent was kind of cool for his "this is the way I think and if you don't like it, ***** you" kind of stance, but he's a little too guttural for me these days.

He may be white, but he would never wear pink! Nor would he be caught dead in Mrs Brown's sweets...

You know, maybe if Ted Nugent opened his mouth and said something especially asinine in public, it might give his new album the sort of extra promotional push it needs to remind the public that Ted Nugent...er...actually makes music in addition to making idiotic public statements...

God help the poor residents of Michigan. Ted is considering running as the GOP canddate for governor against Jennifer Granholm. If he should ever win, I will know for certain that no hope remains and I will return to my boyhood state.
