Australian psych greats The Church recently released excellent new single "The Hypnogogue" and they've now revealed that is also the title of their upcoming 26th album. It's out February 24 via Communicating Vessels and frontman Steve Kilbey says it's "the most prog rock thing we have ever done and also we’ve never had a concept album before." He adds, "it is the most ‘teamwork record’ we have ever had. Everyone in the band is so justifiably proud of this record and everyone helped to make sure it was as good as it could be. Personally, I think it’s in our top three records."

This is a brilliant album. I am stunned how good it is. As good as any of the classic Church of the 80s
