REPORT: NEW AC/DC ALBUM TO FEATURE MALCOLM YOUNG’S RHYTHM GUITAR PLAYING ON ALL SONGS
Texas-based publication JAM Magazine has cited a “reliable source inside the AC/DC camp” as letting them know that Angus Young is working on a new AC/DC album that will be dedicated to his brother, the late Malcolm Young.
According to the site, the new recordings will include “Malcolm playing rhythm guitar on all tracks!”
A posting on the JAM Magazine Facebook page reads: “Turns out, five years prior to the ‘Black Ice’ LP, AC/DC‘s 15th studio release, Angus and Malcolm Young lived to together where they literally wrote hundreds of songs, many were recorded and have been stashed away until now. Angus has decided to selected the best tracks from those recordings that Malcolm played on and is now back in the studio recording and mixing them with fellow bandmates Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and, yes, Brian Johnson on vocals.”

Not sure when the release date will be announced but this should give all the Hardcore AC/DC fans a hard on!

Malcolm and Angus recorded stuff all the time according to interviews I've seen with both of them. They were forever putting down rhythm tracks and putting them aside to finish later. Malcolm was, reportedly, a kind of workaholic before he became ill.

From hennemusic.com:
AC/DC continue to energize speculation and appear to be gearing up to an announcement with the launch of promotional moves built around the word "PWR/UP".
They kicked things off on Monday morning by changing social media profile photos and sharing a short teaser video with a glowing neon lightning bolt. They shared a different teaser video later in the day with the lightning bolt at different angles and brief glimpses of other letters.
The band also launched a new website design that shows the glowing lightning bolt with "PWR/UP" written beside it and on the far side of the screen. There is also a "Power Up" menu option that invites fans to sign up for a newsletter.
A poster outside guitarist Angus Young's former school was also revealed. A photo of an advertisement outside of Angus Young's former school was shared by Australian radio station Triple M that has "Are You Ready?" on top, with SYD below that and then PWR/UP, and then on the bottom is shows the url pwrup.acdc.com
The station tweeted the photo and wrote, "This poster has popped up outside Angus Young's old High School. What are AC/DC up to?"

I find it humorous that in the 40 years since "Back in Black", AC/DC never changed its formula regarding its sound. I expect this record to sort of sound like that one.

The formula didn't change with Back In Black, just the singer.
AC/DC has been up and down over the last few studio album (more down than up IMO), but I'll get this. Very likely with no Malcolm, and now the band being on the "one new album every 6 years" cycle, that this could very well be the last AC/DC studio album.

The sound might be similar but the song quality sure went south. But this is coming from someone who thought their creative peak was when the "other guy" was singing (not Dave Evans)

I'll be in for this as well.
They may have a formula, but they certainly milked it for all it's worth. I remember when "Flick Of The Switch" came out. We (me and my drummer buddy) were practicing that night, and stopped when the local rock station was going to debut the new single. By the middle of the first verse, he was drumming along on his legs (fills included), and by the end of the verse, we were pretty much playing along. My buddy said, "I guess that wasn't too predictable, was it?"

There was a story once (I don't remember it verbatim) where an interviewer asked the band if they were annoyed that someone wrote that they'd released essentially the same album fourteen times. The reply was that they WERE annoyed because they'd done it fifteen times.

What they do, they do damn well.
Why would they change now?
What I heard on that snippet sounded like what I want to hear from them.
I also think over the years they've slipped in some different ideas and hooks on great songs like "Heatseeker", "Thunderstruck", "Who Made Who", "Anything Goes" and "Satellite Blues" among others.
