I've embedded the song that accompanied the article into Renny's post above, and am delighted to see that Browne will be releasing it as part of a nice old-fashioned domestic CD single on May 29th, with "Downhill From Everywhere" as the lead track. Pre-order the CD single below:

I didn't immediately recognize the picture, but the voice is still there. The song was good enough to pique my interest.

The CD single (linked above you) is still available. We have the audio of it, too:

There's been no news about a full-length album, but Browne announced a 2021 tour with James Taylor, so perhaps he's pushing the album to next year.

He is 71. Looks pretty good for that age to me....

I thought the same thing. He doesn't look bad for his age. IMO - He could be a little more groomed, but other than that doesn't look bad for his age.

My wife is as big a Jackson Browne fan as anyone. When we first married she would play her Jackson Browne CDs often and we of course saw him in concert often years ago.

I just showed her that photo without revealing the name, she was stumped, had no idea who that was. When I revealed that it is Jackson Browne today she still doesn’t believe it. :shock:

finally on this one, the single came out what seems like years ago....

release date july 23.....same day as crosby's new one.......it will be a wonderful day!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope I look that good at 71. And his voice still sounds really good!

I don't normally do the whole California rock thing, but I love those seventies Jackson Browne records. I think he's really underrated, both musically and especially lyrically. He's able to capture this quiet existential dread in a way that seems very lived.
