It's been nearly a year since breakcore guru Venetian Snares and production legend Daniel Lanois first announced that they were planning a collaborative LP. Now, the duo have unveiled details for the project.
Their meeting of the minds will result in an eight-song LP simply dubbed Venetian Snares X Daniel Lanois. It's the culmination of multiple years of work — Lanois reportedly first reached out to Snares mastermind Aaron Funk in 2014.
The album was tracked live in Toronto in a former Buddhist temple, with Funk handling the beats and Lanois playing pedal steel.
Venetian Snares X Daniel Lanois will arrive on May 4 through Timesig and Planet Mu. Listen to album opener "Mag11 P82" below [via Resident Advisor].
