some rare david baerwald news.

he has released an EP of covers (yaca) called 'hellbound train" (not a cover of the savoy brown song, which could have been really cool) and there are 5 tunes on it.

it is an internet only release and is available to hear on spotify should you so desire. i think it is also on itunes and amazon.

I've never heard any of his solo stuff. How does it compare to David & David?

OK, I pulled him up on Spotify, and halfway through the "Here Comes The New Folk Underground" album, It's reminding me A LOT of World Party. But with Baerwald's distinctive voice. That's really all that carries over from D&D, his voice. I dig it.

"bedtime stories" is almost as good as "boomtown"...and you can probably get it for less than $5.

hell, you can probably get his whole catalog for less than $20.

except for "a fine mess" which was released through his website. a 2 CD set for $20, autographed. i would guess it goes for well over $100 now, but you never ever see them come up sale anywhere.
