Description
Impose Magazine recently called The Feelies “… one of the most influential bands in the history of alternative and underground music” and Rolling Stone said that they are “a template of formal perfection.” They have influenced bands like REM, Yo La Tengo, Real Estate and WEEZER, Now during their 40th anniversary comes “In Between” their first album of all new material in over 6 years. While working the VU template they are famous for this album brings some interesting new sonics into the mix. The album is both quieter and decibolically furious than anything they’ve ever done.

I was a little underwhelmed with the last one, but still excited for this.
Now if they could just play some shows on the west coast, I'd be even happier

I also thought that their Here Before was a little lacking when it was released in 2011. However, I revisited it earlier this year and was surprised how strong the songs were. Even though nothing is as instantly memorable as their best material from the 80's and 90's, I still find most of the songs quite enjoyable, and have been playing it a lot more recently.

I bought The Good Earth album by The Feelies at Vintage Vinyl, when it was first released.

I loved shopping at that store, and glad to see it is still in business. I made many trips to Vintage Vinyl from where I lived, in Somerset County NJ, in the mid-80's. I also remember buying discs at the Vinyl Vault record store located in a shopping plaza on 206 near Hillsborough, and picking up the "Aquarian Weekly" music newspaper there.
