Cleese is getting a hard time today because of his anti Scottish tweet yesterday

And it's Palin all the way.

I think they're all great in their own ways, but, it was the meshing of all of that talent together
bumped up and playing against each other that made the television show, the movies, the stage
work, etc. so amazingly great.

That said, I wondered which two members of the group were your favorite. You can use any justification
you wish because they are your favorites. But I thought it would be very hard for people to choose, and
it would also be good to see how second-choice favorites will total up in this poll.

Michael is my favorite, too. I'm not exactly sure why, but I found myself always drawn towards
his roles in the sketches, his characterizations and mannerisms. He's funny and he seems a
genuinely nice person. Plus, Rippin' Yarns, his TV travel-adventure films and so on.

Michael Palin was always my favourite. Since we can pick two, I chose Palin and his writing partner Jones.

Second, I went with Terry Jones, but it was hard choosing him over Cleese. John Cleese
may be the funniest, perhaps even the best actor in the bunch. But I always liked Terry, too,
and I also loved his scholarly nature, his love for language, literature, and, in general, old stuff.
And also, his solo TV shows, as well as his work in Rippin' Yarns.

I decided to go by height, so Chapman & Cleese are my picks.

This is a tough one indeed, and I'm not even the biggest Python fan. But I really love a lot of their work outside-of-slash-post Python.

Michael Palin. He was also brilliant in Fish Called Wanda, but then again, so was everyone.

John Cleese and Eric Idle were my favorites. The funniest, in different ways.

Cleese because he eventually creates Fawlty Towers and Idle created some great characters and skits on the show.

Palin and Idle. When i was much younger Eric Idle was my favourite and as i got older it was Palin

Cleese and Palin. The show was never funnier than when those two were together. And Both then went on to create far and away the funniest things the individual members produced.

Interesting that Carol Cleveland is listed but a) not represented in the image in the first post and b) someone thinks she was the best Python!

Well ladies and gentlemen, we didn't think any of the cast Of Monty Python had succeeded
in encapsulating the intricacies of being our favorite, so we're going to award the first prize
in this post to the member with the biggest tits.

Actually, I included her as the troupe's only significant female performer and because I see her
sometimes listed as the "seventh member of Monty Python." I should have found a better picture.

It is surprising that she's doing as well as Chapman and Gilliam, though.

Cleese was my favorite. He was the most versatile of the group.

I always loved Eric Idle. He had a twinkle, did a really good woman, plus the music aspect. And he was dead sexy. All in all, though, they were, together, much more than the sum of their parts.
