The other thread made me wonder -- are there any works that aren't flawed?

Raiders of the Lost Ark is without flaw.

The Godfather is without flaw.

Raiders has some cheesy special effects, and in the original you can see the reflection of the snake in the glass between it and Indy. But otherwise, it qualifies, even after they removed the scorch scene.

Amazing Spider-Man 33 is flawless.

I dispute. It has one major clunker that causes the movie to not hold up through the ages -- the casting of Wiley Wiggins in the central role. Guy cannot act at all.

He seemed out of place, socially awkward, and sometimes popular for no apparent reason. When I was a Sophomore going on Junior in the Summer of '76, I knew a dozen Wiley Wigginses.

You're doing the "realistic, therefore good" avenue. What I'm saying is he's terrible and not a good performer. Drags it down. I love the movie in spite of his performance, and chalk it up to awkwardness. But he's the worst.

What you didn't notice was that the movie was filled with bad actors winging it through realism. For every McConaughey and Rapp there was a Wiggins and Hinojosa. They grounded the movie and gave it a good portion of its realistic feel.

I did notice it. Wiggins was just too bad to score the movie as "flawless." It's a noticeable weak point and has been discussed for ages.

I love Dark Side Of The Moon but "Us And Them" is a major wart on it. Its the only song off of it I skip.

Except that if the group of nazis died checking out the ark (with no Indie around), then other nazis would have wondered why and gone in later to find out (or sent in some expendables). They still would have ended up with the weapon (instead of the good guys ending up with it).
