Tough choice, but I went with Dick Grayson as Batman, which I ended up really enjoying almost in spite of myself, especially once Bruce returned and they both kept the role, a status quo I wish had stuck around longer.

Plus, it gave us The Black Mirror, my pick for best Batman story of this century---in the comics, anyway.

Dick Grayson as Batman for the win. Bucky as Cap in second place.

I like Jane as Thor and Sam as Cap as well.

I was looking for John Stewart. And maybe Rhodes as Iron Man. But if everyone would like to forget that whole run, I concur.

It is. I'm the one vote for "Doc Ock as Spider-Man".

When you say Dick Grayson, I assume you mean this guy:

I hate all of it. I like characters because of who they are, and believe something unique inside them compels them to do what they do.

Comics are turning into cosplay fantasies with endless successions of "who will be the next to become _______?"

I meant a guy that only took over for a little bit, not a true successor. It's why I didn't include Tim Drake.

He still is. Most recent Hulk series, written by Greg Pak and drawn by one of my very favorites, Frank Cho. It's a half-Korean and a full-Korean drawing Marvel's first Korean superhero. Sadly, he's just a poor imitation of an existing character. Alas.
