That jacket he's wearing is odd. There's no collar, and the buttons at the front make it look like a tunic.

And he was the Wasp, too. Don't forget.

All that time in the lab, what he really dreamed of was opening a little bistro.

And BTW after all these years, I just thought of something...How do you pronounce Pym?
I always thought it was "pimm" like him. But could it really be "pime" like time?

I always thought it was "Pimm" as well.

This could be as contentious as the IMWAN/IMWAN pronunciation debate.

He could've been the MU's answer to Heston Blumenthal. :ohyes:

West Coast Avengers. Around #20 or somewhere thereabouts. Hank gives up using his powers and has been more or less an advisor for the team, then he gets the idea to use Pym Particles on various devices and such, so he can store a vast arsenal in his pockets.
I don't remember when he started with the long coat, the hat and scarf, but he was going by the name Doctor Pym at the time.
Pretty obvious who he was modeled after.

Hank needs to get a GPS. That way he won't get get Linda lost, and he can save his pride and not ask for directions.

The idea seems like an interesting one - but having him whip out a chainsaw to chop a tree down on someone seems....not so interesting. :)

Is that a magic chain saw that cuts through tree trunks like they're made of smoke?

He used the Pym Particles to make the teeth of the chainsaw larger so that it could...you know...chop faster. :paranoid:

I actually liked that interpretation of him. It's not like the writers didn't do far worse things with the poor guy over the years.

I thought Dr. (Who) Pym worked fairly well. He kind of swiped Madam Macabre shtick,
shrinking and growing non-living objects, and basically showed how useful it would be
to carry around bulky things into battle, like chainsaws, brick walls, and so on. Later on,
when the Skrull was posing as Pym, he had a Quinjet in his pocket. Or maybe he was
just happy to see Wasp and Firebird again?

A Hank Pym running around the Marvel Universe using everything he knows:
shrinking and growing his own body
using his Wasp wing implants
using his guns and gauntlet blasters
shrinking and growing his enemies (and allies)
shrinking and growing useful (and other people's dangerous) objects
and using his multi-dimensional door technology
communicating with and controlling all manner of insect life
using advanced robotic allies and vehicles

really should be practically unbeatable.
