Although it's a parody of DC's Superman, I can see if not a blockbuster movie, than at least a cartoon TV series based on Love and Capes.
What about Transmetropolitan? Or would that not count since Spider Jerusalem isn't a superhero?

Tom Strong or Supreme could be cool as TV series, if they did a filmic equivalent of what Moore did in the comics, i.e. making the flashbacks look "period."
In other words, a superhero show about an ageless hero who's between 80 and 100 years old, where the aesthetic is completely modern and awesome and with lots of cool CGI effects ... but then there are flashbacks to the 40s that are filmed like the old serials, flashbacks to the 60s that look like the Batman TV series, 80s flashbacks that look like the Reeve Superman films, etc., with no FX used in those segments that weren't possible during the actual period.

Bone is no superhero, but an animated Bone trilogy would rock my socks and probably a generation of kids.

I also like Trevor's Grendel suggestion. An HBO show in True Detective style format (i.e. standalone arcs, possibly stylistically different but linked by the spirit of Grendel). War Child would be particularly awesome.
