This is the adaptation of Mark Millar's and Dave Gibbon's Secret Service comic. It's directed by Matthew Vaughn and out in October.

Saw the trailer before X-men last night and it looks good and fun.

Thought that the trailer looked amazingly fun, then I saw Millar's name and thought, "Ah, of course. It's from a comic book."

It looks great,not sure why the recruiting agent is no longer his uncle tho

I wasn't sure if they made that clear or not in the trailer. I'd think they'd have plenty of time in the movie to explore their family relationship issues. Gives it more emotional weight too, especially towards the end.

The trailer made me think of the first Men In Black with Wil Smith trying out for the MIB. I know nothing about the comic, so don't judge me.

Saw this tonight. That was fantastic. Lot of funny bits, some over the top heroics. Good use of music. Never read the original so no clue on adaptation, but one of the most fun movies I saw in Theaters in recent times.

I enjoyed the comic series and want to see this.

Highly recommend. Both me and my teenage boys loved it. I hope it gets the box office run it deserves.

I like the looks of it. But this dang baby means I probably won't get to see it until home video.

My wife's grandma comes for a week starting tomorrow... I might try to see the last Hobbit movie at the cheap theater if I can somehow manage it.

If you have a choice go to this. Hobbit is more of the same. This felt fresh. I don't find time for many theater movies with the kids. This might be my first r rated movie in a few years. I tend to get disappointed when I make a bad choice because they are so limited. I don't want to set expectations too high but this would be in my top tier for comic flicks. (Though not traditional super hero)

To reinforce this awesomeness they pull off having Luke Skywalker playing a character that speaks in a joker voice!

Yes, this must be done. You'll burn yourselves out. I learned that the hard way with my first kid. Take some time for yourselves, if at all possible.

Another strategy: Ditch everybody and catch a 9:00 show by yourself.

This is a really enjoyable movie that's colourful, action-packed and surprisingly thoughtful in odd ways. There's only one bum note in the rear end that's somewhat cr-ass.

I'll have to check iMDB, but I think Mark Hamill has played a live-action villain before with his Joker voice, but that may have been just a TV show. This would be the first time he's done it in a major movie.

What type of movie would you call Kingman? It's clearly more expensive than a "B-movie", but it's not like this is opening in the summer with a major marketing campaign. "A-1"? "A 1/2"?

Why is it R rated? Too much sexiness? Violence?

Much like Austin Powers, the movie owes at least as much to 60s knock-offs like the Matt Helm and Flint movies as it does to James Bond. The over-the-top violence is literally cartoonish at times. Not sure why Samuel L. Jackson's villain character lisps, and the finale is outrageously sexist. But overall, an entertaining couple of hours, and nice work by the cast, Colin Firth especially, and the kid (Taron Egerton) is easy to root for.

Violence and graphic sexual language and minimal nudity. Not for kids for sure.

Some Tatintino level violence and lots of language. One butt shot. Definitely earned its r. But I was comfortable, with the exception of the one moment darragh alluded to, watching with my 14 year old.

Eddie. It's got Colin firth and Samuel Jackson. It's A list. Definitely a love letter to old school spy movies with some new school ala kick ass sensibilities. I hesitate to compare to kick ass as this is so much more enjoyable. But not sure there is any other movies with similar tones

Colin Firth is totally channeling young Michael Caine. I wanna see it.
