I thought there could be a thread where we post old book covers we really like.

Sometimes there's a certain cover that just grabs your imagination and takes you way back to when you first read it, or there's a book that's been reprinted over and over and that you've seen with multiple covers over the years. There's no real rule or anything - this is just a thread for old book covers you might like.

Here's a modest example...

I first saw this book with this cover, and got it.



Online, many years later, I discovered that it had been published with a variety of other covers...

Here's another favourite cover of mine (and yes, I own a copy of this book, although this image is one I found online).

Another one I love - the story isn't one of Moorcock's greatest, but when I first read it it was full of ideas I'd never heard of before, and I was impressed. The cover made a huge impression on me. I must've been about twelve or so when I read it.

I'm a fan of Vallejo's 70s and early 80s stuff. I used to think I didn't like him at all until I saw this cover --

I remember really liking this book while I was in high school.

I had this one as a kid and liked it. A little risque.

The figure-work on Conan reminds me of Neal Adams.

This one has more covers than I can even begin to keep track of, as do most of Michael Moorcock's novels, but here are three of the more interesting ones (IMO).

1967 paperback. I had a copy for years....sold it on Ebay.
