New Image comic coming in March.

http://www.usatoday.com/life/comics/sto ... 52457718/1

Quote:
Admittedly a "big Star Wars nerd," Vaughan has channeled his inner George Lucas to create a sci-fi/fantasy epic. It follows two soldiers — a ram-horned man named Marko and a winged female warrior named Alana — from different sides of an intergalactic war who fall in love and decide to have a baby.
That's when the real adventure begins, as the new family is pursued by everyone in the universe, Vaughan says. "You'll get a nice mixture of some bounty hunters, monsters and all sorts of lovely threats."

That looks outstanding.

IMO, Vaughan is the best comics writer working. And he always teams up with an amazing artist.

Agreed. He's also got a project he's working on with Marcos Martin coming up.

Looks lousy to me.

At least a fresh idea about having a baby and all.

What is up with LCSs lately?

The "MONEY IN HAND!" meme is starting to seem less ridiculous to me.

At least I was looking for comic book that debuted this week. My LCS guy said he's been trying to up his order for two weeks. He says the first printing just wasn't big enough.

You, on the other hand, were tardy and it's fans like you that are doing it wrong and killing comics.

(By the way, you could just read it on your computer from Comixology)

I tried to use Comixology but all I got was a screen telling me that I should sign up for Google Plus.

It's a trap trying to get you to mass migrate.

I know my LCS always orders comics for the shelf from Image, IDW, Boom, DH, etc..very indy friendly..but he told me even with recent upping of orders on Image and other creator owned titles he is selling out..! Thief of Thieves and Fatale were also huge sellers.

With Saga he had ordered about 50 copies for pull lists and 50 for the shelf...but more and more people added it to their pull lists these last few weeks and by the time I got there they only had 5 copies on the shelf..!

Good news is most of these books are getting higher orders for subsequent issues and second printings as well. Comic stores are wary but i think they are seeing a big demand they were not ready for.

I enjoyed this a lot. Some very cool characters. And I have a little comic book crush on Marko, the ram-guy.
