It wouldn't let me vote for Joe Mantegna.

its a toss up between Marino and Montana. Dan has the stats and held most, if not all, the major records a QB could have.
Montana doesn't have the guady numbers but he was a leader to his entire team. Not just the offense but to all of his teamates from defense to special teams. There are some things stats don't reflect which Joe had, that made him so great.
Ultimately, if I had to pick between them I have to go with JM.

Montana in a landslide.

Kurt Warner seems out of place in that list.

If you go by Super Bowls, it could be Montana or Brady. If you go by stats it could be Marino or Elway or Manning or Brees or Brady or Favre or a lot of people.

A quick check to Wiki shows some fairly impressive stats -- - Most yards passing in a Super Bowl game – 414 yards - Only quarterback to throw 400+ yards in a Super Bowl game - Most touchdown passes in a single postseason – 11 touchdowns (in 2009, tied with Joe Montana in 1990 and Joe Flacco in 2013) - Most yards passing in a single postseason, 3 games played – 1,063 yards - Fastest player to pass for 30,000 yards – 114 games (tied with Dan Marino) - Fastest player to pass for 10,000 yards - Only quarterback to throw for over 14,000 yards with two different teams - Highest rate of games with 300+ yards passing (min. 100 games played) – 41.9% So, not the greatest, but he's certainly one of the best ever.

Peyton Manning is the most amazing quarterback I have ever seen in terms of how he checks off and runs an offense. John Elway was the original running back who was a quarterback and I "hate" him in the way that only Cleveland Browns fans can. Dan Marino was a tactical wizard. But Joe Montana beat you. He beat you any way you could be beaten.

I voted for Peyton, but I'm surpised that Fran Tarkenton didn't make the list of nominees. From Wiki: Quote: In his 18 NFL seasons, Tarkenton completed 3,686 of 6,467 passes for 47,003 yards and 342 touchdowns, with 266 interceptions. Tarkenton's 47,003 career passing yards rank him 6th all time, while his 342 career passing touchdowns is 4th all time in NFL history.[7] He also is fifth on the all-time list of wins by a starting quarterback with 124 regular season victories. He also used his impressive scrambling ability to rack up 3,674 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns on 675 carries. During his career, Tarkenton ran for a touchdown in 15 different seasons, an NFL record among quarterbacks. He ranks fourth in career rushing yards among quarterbacks, behind Randall Cunningham, Steve Young and Michael Vick. He is also one of two NFL quarterbacks ever to rush for at least 300 yards in seven different seasons; the other is Tobin Rote. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986. Vikings head coach Bud Grant flatly called Tarkenton "the greatest quarterback who's ever played." When he retired, Tarkenton held NFL career records in pass attempts, completions, yardage, and touchdowns; rushing yards by a quarterback; and wins by a starting quarterback.

I hate John Elway for spurning the Yankees to play football.
Shouldn't Terry Bradshaw be in the conversation? 4 Super Bowl rings in 6 years?

I hate Elway for refusing to play for the Colts after being drafted by them.
