An empty old barn, torches here and there, some 45s and pumpkins everywhere – IMWAN’s Halloween party was ready to go. Little did our message board revelers know that one amongst them was a MURDERER…
We figure it’s probably Carr. He’s harmless, so come twist the night away to fresh, spooky singles from Bright Eyes, Alex Chilton, Cat Power and The Rain City Shwillers.
But watch out for the brown barrel. That’s not cider!

And I'm totally guessing that the Mystery Voice is Frank Saxon. That's probably why he died at the end of the WANcast...of embarassment. No, seriously, whoever did that song is very talented.

Holy Moley, Dave is two-for-two. That is indeed Baretta, and the man with the heavenly tenor is indeed our good friend Frank Saxon. Thanks much to FS and his friend Marc Matney for letting us play their song. You know, they wrote that too!
So now we're looking at:

Oh, the tension is horrible...

Well, thank you Mr. Carr. My friend Matney got a four track tape recorder and we spent about a year playing with it between my living room and his. He played all the instruments and I provided all the vocals. We recorded about 30 tracks and before anybody asks, yes, they were almost all Beatles numbers (we're big fans, okay?). I've been trying to get Marc to join us here at IMWAN for some time now, but this might be the thing that finally gets him over here.
Oh, and big BIG thanks to Dan for not only playing it, but for the kind words and the applause!
