For "Avengers Under Siege" alone it has to be Roger Stern for me. His West Coast Avengers mini series was brilliant as well.

Uncle Rog for the win. Next up for me is Busiek. What a Renaissance that was.

Uncle Rog,especially with John Buscema and Tom Palmer doing the art. Those are good looking comics.

Honorable mention to Chris Yost and the other writers on the Avengers:Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon.

I'll go with Rascally Roy. He and Buscema did some great stuff.

I grew up in the era of Steve Englehart, so he'll always be right up there for me.
But of course, I was also reading my Dad's Stan Lee issues as well, and was able to get
a lot of Roy Thomas stories via repeats and oversized tabloids. All three of them deserve
to be a top five list.

More recently, Roger Stern and Kurt Busiek rank pretty high for me. So, those two in the
top five somewhere,too.

Jim Shooter is as close as I ever came to ripping up a comic book in disgust, so not him,
even though I didn't mind most of his stories.

Brian Bendis and Jonathan Hickman get a lot of praise from more modern fans, but those two
didn't give me any enjoyment at all on the titles.

I did very much enjoy those cartoons, so props to Chris Yost, too. But, to be fair, if he was in control of those
stories, he was milking much of what had come before.

Stan Lee...but I do love Jim Shooter's run on this (especially that two issue story with Tigra and the Molecule Man).
