One of my prized possessions is my father's childhood copy of Detective #38 (the first appearance of Robin).
The colorist didn't grasp what they were going for with Batman's gloves and boots. The hands and feet are blue, but the rest of the glove and boot are white. So in some panels he has white forearms and calves.
It's been corrected in every reprint that I've seen.

He's in danger of leaving recoverable fingerprints like that!
What I want to know is, who were that weird bunch around him supposed to be? Were the villains? Or was he trying to start an alternative pre-Outsiders superhero team?
