Russell Johnson would have been perfect as Reed Richards.

Fun idea for a site. Who would play the rest of the Marvel Universe?

I'm not as familiar with 60s actors, so I'm blanking on ideas. I like Steve Reeves as Superman...

Agree. Alex Ross used him as the model in Marvels.

Guy Williams would have been a great Tony Stark, and Sebastian Cabot would've been great as Jarvis. Ron Ely as Captain America, Sally Field as Janet Van Dyne, Clint Walker as Thor ...there are a ton of 60's actors who might have made great MU characters.

Too old. Isn't Sue supposed to be at least 40 years his junior?

Guy Williams looked like a superhero and could have been a great anything, including Batman. Ron Ely as Cap is interesting.

That site is excellent and I don't know how far anyone went into it but if you go into the unfilmed episode section, there's a shot of the Impossible Man that had me LOLing......

Gary Conway would be my pick for Hank Pym, and Don Marshall would've been perfect as T'Challa.

The picture of Ben and Lockjaw was the one that cracked me up the most. :)

Elizabeth Montgomery would have made a good Susan.

Maybe the later versions of Sue. I don't see Elizabeth Montgomery screaming like a girl as she's carried off by Namor.

Besides, we all know who should have played the Fantastic Four in 1963...

I like how they dealt with the origin, just a credits thing like Gilligan's Island. I also like the negative effect for the negative zone :)

I wonder if someone did this now, a 60s version with purposefully 60s type effects, if it would be popular in a cult-like way.

Love these shots:

A little old for my taste but otherwise looks good. For me, Johnny should be about 17 years old.
