It's insane to me how Will Smith's career and profile seem to have gone even higher since he publicly assaulted a man half his size on live television.

I'd love Will Smith to star in this. It'd be hilarious...especially if Chris Rock were also in it.

He did have a bit of a tumble afterward. He got suspended from SAG and didn't work for a couple of years. He's back with his Bad Boys franchise now and sailing along though. I'd say his career reached its peak the very same day of the incident though, since he won the Oscar that year. No consequences if you have money.

The matter is complicated by current prevailing narratives relating to race in the U.S., which made it hard for people to process correctly. It ends up being a bizzare episode, when in reality it was a simple episode.
