I've never understood the extreme negative reaction to Temple of Doom.

Temple of Doom. Aside from Kate Capshaw screeching every five minutes, it's great.

Well, there's the aforementioned screeching, and the extreme violence and the inappropriate gore and the unfunny comedy and the movie's general desperation to outdo Raiders.

Last Crusade is the only good sequel. The others are junk.

The Last Crusade. I thought the other two were entertaining, but Crusade strikes the right balance of humor, action and adventure.

Last Crusade.

My hate on the Temple of Doom really comes down to the lack of location usage. I love the world wide travels of Indiana Jones and want to see the plane sequence as the line is drawn from one place to another.

Last Crusade. Grail Lore holds more interest for the majority, as a subject 'round here, and the interaction with his old man is hilarious. And everybody hates nazis. :ohyes:
Spoiler: show
Except Hitler.

Well, it did introduce the phrase "chilled monkey brains" into the lexicon. But seriously, other then the mine train sequence there's little I like in Temple of Doom.

The Last Crusade is great, and from a chacter standpoint I think is even better than the first movie thanks to the Ford/Connery dynamic.

^This.^

The awesomeness that is Jones was lost in the muddle of: annoying screeching chick, "cute" kids, and general slapstick-y hijinks.

Short Round is cool. He's Robin to Indy's Batman.

I think the shots at Karen Allen uncalled for. And yeah, though there are some seriously lame things in it (fridge nuke ranks up there), I don't think it was as awful as all that. Not nearly as good as Last Crusade, sure, but not so horrible one should want a refund, either.

One thing is true. Indy as an OSS agent during WWII did sound way more interesting than the movie itself.

Too bad he's too old to play that role.

Wait a few years, and Shia LeBarf will be at the right age.

And I've heard he's friends with master film-maker Michael Bay...

Are you saying he should be Indy Jr. AND John Carter?

A bold statement. It could work.
