Cool! If I had a Fisher-Price Batman, that's exactly what I'd want him tooling around in. And I mean that seriously as a good thing, too.
Funny -- I was just thinking about the Batmobile as, I guess, a character device recently. I don't totally like the concept. Like Spider-Man or Catwoman, I think Batman's most interesting as a rooftop-prowler, somebody who essentially seems to travel above the city, without actually flying or gliding or doing whatever other dodgy nonsense the movies insist on showing us.
I really liked the way the animated series handled his travel, where the grappling gun basically meant he could take off at any time and get wherever he needed to go without us thinking too hard about it, and without powering him up unnecessarily. But somehow the idea of him actually being in a car and driving on the same streets I would drive and maybe even passing me as I'm on my way to Quizno's or wherever just guts the character for me.
I bet that's what the makers of Batman Forever were thinking when they cleverly had him driving up buildings and shit. Those guys were such visionaries...

A buddy's dad bought a black '95 Trans Am when it came out. He called it the Batmobile. It looked like one.
