I came accross this while reading the wikipedia David Niven article ... my choice to play Dr. Stephen Strange in a movie.

Interesting factum: During his WWII service, Niven's batman was Peter Ustinov.

Reminds me of the old Benny Hill Sketch.
Henry Magee plays the stodgy Brittish officer entertaining guests, and he says, "One moment, I'll ring for the Batman."
He rings a bell, and Benny dressed as Batman, leaps thru the door!
