I'll eat whatever kind of PB is available, but I prefer smooth. And I almost always buy generic, store brand.
My sister's ex-fiancee's mom worked at a Smucker's plant in Ohio, so she would bring home samples and we'd get free peanut butter that way. Loads of it.
Needless to say, after a few years of an excess amount of free peanut butter, I kinda get sick of it now.

Smooth peanut butter all the way. I like it with raspberry jam (with seeds) and soft Wonder Bread. I like it with chocolate (as they say, "two great things that go great together"). I love it on toast because it melts. Fluffernutters are great sandwiches. I like it with Nutella. In general, peanut butter rocks.

I love chunky, but the wife loves smooth. So it's smooth.

I make really good peanut butter & jelly thumbprint cookies.

Chunky...but smooth is fine, too.

I hardly eat the stuff, but when I last did it was some brand that had the separated oil that required stiring in.

Chunky is a must when making peanut butter fudge - those extra bits give it a needed texture. But Smooth is better for peanut butter cookies.

For sandwiches, either will do. Added honey is good, too.

I like Skippy, but others are fine.
