My kind of silliness.

Hanzo says it's played out.

Along with "Radio Days" and "Hannah and Her Sisters," I think the amusing "The Purple Rose of Cairo" also could have made the list.

It's not fair to pick just one Woody Allen. I think we should pick a dozen. We need the eggs.

Watched The Front last night. So close to being a great film. Always hated the ending. Almost as if Allen goes out of character for the final scenes.

I'm going to vote for Annie Hall, but in all due fairness I haven't seen all of Allen's movies. There may be another that I
haven't seen which is better, but somehow I doubt it. One more thing about Annie Hall. I don't know if I have done this before
on IMWAN, but I'm tempted to list the biggest mistakes AMPAS has made in giving out Best Picture awards. As much as I
would like to cite Annie Hall beating out Star Wars, I can't because Annie Hall has proven to be a classic in and of its own right
and there are many fans who will watch and enjoy that film without knowing that it won Best Picture. A better example for my list
would be The Life of Emil Zola whom NOBODY watches unless they want to see a Best Picture winner. What other movie came
out that year? Only Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Wonder if DC ever put Woody in the Jerry Lewis comic they published back then?

Woody Allen tried to get Jerry Lewis to direct Allen's first movie.Fact.

I don't know about 'best' but my favourite is Broadway Danny Rose. It's a gem. I might not feel that way if it was as celebrated as his other movies. Something about its being overlooked makes it feel more personal, somehow. Sometimes too much is made of movies as art. Or Art.

"They shot him in the eyes."

"He's blind?"

"No, he's dead."

"Right, because the bullets go right through..."
