I had Mazinga as well. I also wanted Raydeen and Godzilla.
This did not happen, but Mazinga was a hell of a great thing to have had as a kid.

I had that one and Godzilla. I don't know how/why Shogun Warriors became popular action figures here in the 70s, but they were cool. I don't remember any cartoon or TV show featuring them. I had the (apparently his name was Mazinga) which did not have the removable spaceship in the top of his head, but all his missiles still fired, unlike, I believe, later releases.
