Batman Begins explained the cape great by having it work as a glider. A function that has been shown at various points, but never outright explained to the best of my knowledge.

But it didn't seem like he could fly around like Iron Man... that's why he had the flying Batmobile.

Sounds like you are talking about the show. I meant the game.
And that kind of behavior is all I am really talking about. Gliding wings coupled with rocket boots. I would love to have that in a Batman game.
