Joe Mad and Humberto Ramos are two artists who go on my "drop that shit right now" list. Both were tolerable early in their careers, but their cartoony style isn't suited for superhero comics at all.

You're right about Ramos. But I think Mad is best on superheroes.

I got my New DC Justice League Volume 1 yesterday (thanks, AmazWAN!) and I think Lee's art is outstanding. Perhaps a little over-colored in places, but the pencils are great.

I don't like electric Flash, though. The little lightning bolts actually make him look slower than he does with just the speed lines.

I'd like to see Lee inked by someone like Mark Farmer or Tom Palmer -- I wonder if the work would look less "stiff" and a little more naturalistic.

I think this one was inked by Travis Charest?

Maybe?

It certainly looks like Williams' inking, but I don't think it is.

I really enjoyed Lee 20 years ago. His stuff was fresh and fun and he and Williams made a good team. But he reached the "same old same old shit" point 10 years in. Digital coloring is the only thing that's changed regarding his stuff since the 90's and Williams is still his inker for the most part. Not sure I've ever seen anyone else ink him, really. He's still a great artist but been there, done that. that whole Hush storyline was so lame, it was just an excuse to let Lee draw the rogues gallery. Again, great guy, great artist but like Alex Ross, I'm tired of that same old style.
