Just read FCBD Transformers: Regeneration One 80.5, a comic I've waited 21 years to read, and it was good, very good, but now I've got to wait two months 'til 81. Only at Zero Space is there no waiting.

The new Frankenstein by Berni Wrightson is amazing. How can he still be this good after all these years?
And and the extras in the back are awesome -- author and artist interviewing each other and talking about the old time horror movies they watched as a kid.

Shit! Is that available digitally? I'm not going to be able to find a copy of that now...

I read on another forum that it would be available digitally four weeks after FCBD.

It was, I'm sticking around until the end on this one. I'll probably buy the eventual IDW Hardcover collection like I have with all the Niles/Wrightson material(Dead She Said, The Ghoul & Doc Macbre).

Don't worry too much about Transformers 80.5.
It's a recap of the previous series (the 80 issues of Marvel US, and ignoring G2, except Jhiaxus is in a panel, so who knows), going over key events.
It also has some of the most annoying narration EVER.
Apart from that, it's pretty decent.
The other 2 Transformers titles, while not related to the Marvel stuff at all, has also been excellent. 4 issues in for both, with 'Death Of Optimus Prime' serving as a foundation for what happens in the series.

Witness! There's more than recap to it.

I would like to own an eventual hardcover collection of this and his original Frankenstein book. Do IDW or Wrightson own the rights to the old material? If not, they should get them, so I can have my collection.

Dark Horse has a hardcover collection of his illustrating Frankenstein, it was at the shop yesterday but since my funds were limited I couldn't pick it up:

I also read the current issue of Captain America (#11). This book is like a an old girlfriend I just can't break up with. I want to move on, but every time I put it on probation, it pulls me back in. Enjoyed this issue. Dum Dum Dugan is becoming more significant in the supporting cast, and it's more like a spy intrigue thing.

I read “Batman: Who Rules the Knight”, part the trade paperback collection of the 1990s Big Event featuring Bane and Azrael. It was donated to the library, and I was trying to decide whether it would fit into our collection. After reading it I feel like I took one for the team! You see so much of what was wrong with ‘90s comics there—the grim-n-gritty, the overgrown Big Event storytelling, the ugly art and designs. Although the art wasn’t nearly as bad as so much of what passed for art around that time.

I read Venom (new series) #1-5. Really good and is really more about Flash Thompson's struggles than about Venom. The premise is basically Avatar done right.

Do you decide your collection just on personal taste?
I haven't read the book in question, but I know I like books you're not find of... do you still make books you dislike available? If not, how do you make the determination?
