Linda suggested I post here. I'm a regular downstairs at Ice.
My website is still in the Dinosaur age, where my shopping cart is (intentionally) set up to only accept a $ total, rather than a 1 click style. This worked fine in the late 90's - early 00's but obviously doesn't work now.
My current cart is Cart Manager. it is 100% capable of doing what I want, but i am 100% incapable of figuring out how to do it. I am also not adverse to a change as long as:
1. I do not incur PCI compliance costs & the new cart doesn't tend to have security issues.
Here's what I'm looking for:
I have aprox 5,000 somewhat frequently changing products with varying shipping weights & prices. I use Excel as my data base (obviously not real time, but with my low level of sales real time updating is probably not necessary). I just cut & paste the sheet into a webpage. Ideally, i would like one of the columns to contain cart code, & in a manner that i could create the code QUICKLY. There is a faq about this for my cart, but it's just slightly over my head.
I really like my web host (Tiger Tech) & would prefer not having to change hosts for an all in 1 solution.
Our processor is innovative/intuit as is my gateway. While I've been with them for years, & there qos is ok, the gateway is really expensive so I am open to options on that if needed.
I'm ashamed to admit the website was created many years ago with Front Page. I could be open to a change if needed; the only proprietary feature I'm using is a theme (mainly for the top buttons) which straight editors do seem to break.
Last but not least, I need someone who would be willing to do this pretty inexpensively, or in a trade for cd's & dvd's.
Thanks!
