I think it's going to be my favorite Brubaker thing yet. Brubaker's talked it up a little bit in Criminal.

Weird that it's not Icon. The essay in Criminal seemed to indicate it was.

Wil Wheaton on G+ Quote: This is the video Ed Brubaker made to announce his upcoming project with Sean Phillips, FATALE. It's really clever, and I think you'll enjoy it. It's only about a minute long.
I got to see some pages from FATALE last week, and it's going to be absolutely incredible. If you're a fan of Ed and Sean's work (CRIMINAL, SLEEPER, INCOGNITO), you're going to freaking love FATALE.

I want to know if it's available digitally (legally) on Wednesday, because I really want to read this. But even Brubaker doesn't know.
Man, Image is killing it in 2012. Between this, and the Bryan Hitch project, and the Brian K. Vaughan project...

I read the trade last week, finishing the first arc. It reads much better in one sitting than in monthlies. Really, really loved it. I like the story running parallel in two different time periods, which Phillips is perfect at portraying. Anyone else reading this?

I just bailed on the monthly with the latest issue. Once he got the sales numbers he started dragging it out.

Lil Jay - I have to admit that this series is the weakest so far from Bru/Phlips (I want more Criminal stories!) - but i am still onboard as it still has enough cool stuff going on to keep me hooked.

I see it as an interesting idea -- noir combined with Lovecraft -- but that's about all it is. An idea, and he can't much figure out what should happen or what characters we should care about.
