Everybody needs to back off Jim Lee a bit. Just back off.

That's right.

That's what I thought.

I don't know about that. There's a piece of promotional art for "Before Watchmen" floating around that is really really bad. It's not by Jim Lee, and it's much worse than that Nite Owl sketch, imo.

Eh. I'll give this stuff a look and see what I think.

It'll stand or fall on its own merits for me, though - I'm not going to avoid it out of some kind of imagined "principle", just because Alan Moore didn't read the fine print on a contract in 1985 or whatever.

I have a feeling that movie ends with a lavish dance number.

So, is this the origin story of Captain Bollywood? :)

I wonder if they'll introduce new superhero characters to the 'Watchmenverse' that were never mentioned in the original?

That's either a fan's greatest dream or his worst nightmare.

Or something that's fairly easy to ignore.

Just like this whole project, which is SHITTING ON ALAN MOORE'S GRAVE.

Is it that awful, awful Andy Kubert Nite-Owl cover? Because it's fucking awful.

For me, I'll buy the art pr0n that is Darwyn Cooke and Adam Hughes but couldn't be less interested in the actual stories. I like the Amanda Conner stuff I've been seeing for this but I've never really liked anything else she's done, so I'll wait and see if the interiors match the appeal of the promo art for me on Silke Spectre.

Joe Kubert truly might be the greatest inker ever. That's enough to make me ignore Alan Moore right there.

Yeah, it's not that one. It's a picture of all six of them. It's not by any of the artists actually assigned to any of the series, as far as I can tell.

I don't know, it might be drawn by someone who normally rawks, but I think it's terrible.

It's NITE Owl.

DC can't even get that right.

Plus, isn't Nite Owl supposed to be overweight?

I thought he was never Nite Owl for very long pre-retirement. It was always that other guy.
