So, this chart was posted on Comics Alliance earlier...

Particularly interesting is the publisher market share...

Man, when it comes to sell comics to non-fanboys, Marvel really stinks.

The results are skewed by Scott Pilgrim and Walking Dead.

It would be like having a pie chart of publishers of "fiction for young adults." Harry Potter would make it seem like one publisher was stomping everybody generally. But it's more about Harry Potter stomping everybody.

DC I think gets a big bump over Marvel because of Watchmen.

The Vertigo line does well in bookstores.

Yeah, that's another one.

This also illustrates how few comic books sell in bookstores, too. Scott Pilgrim trounces everything put out by the Big Two.
