My friend and I were watching The Hangover Part II the other day (she got the DVD for Christmas), and while watching it I noticed a striking resemblence between the monkey in the Hangover Part II and Annie's Boobs, the recurring monkey from Community. So I decided to look it up.

Turns out it is the same monkey, and she has a pretty solid résumé for a monkey. George of the Jungle, both Dr. Doolittles, the first two America Pies, both Night at the Museums, and 3:10 to Yuma are a few of her credits. She is currently in We Bought a Zoo.

None of the male actors on friends went on to stellar careers.

I'm sure the same monkey has an uncredited role in the first Pirates Of The Carribbean movie as well.

Apparently, they used another monkey in the later films due to creative differences between the original monkey and Geoffrey Rush. The monkey demanded that its name be removed from the credits.

I find your story fishy. Crystal seems like a totally agreeable monkey.

It's Rush that's the problem. He's a well known curmudgeon.

I can believe that. Too bad poor Crystal got caught up in his grumpiness.

:sigh:

I actually saw an interview with Rush where he said the monkey was great, but that her handler was an idiot - he said the handler would actually argue with the monkey and yell at it when it would miss a cue and stuff. He said the whole cast and crew felt sorry for the monkey.

I seriously thought that Simon was talking about Rush Limbaugh.

I didn't think I'd have to follow a monkey thread so closely to get the gist of it.

Marcel was a different breed of monkey, wasn't he? Nope looks like he was a Capuchin too. Just some different coloration.

I had to Google Rush Limbaugh to find out who he was....I'd love to see him interview Geoffrey Rush. Or the monkey.

That's disappointing to hear. I would hope a handler would be an expert at dealing with monkeys appropriately. Guess not.
