A while back, I posted this in the tablet thread:
Now, the iPad, we bought for my autistic son because there was a lot of encouraging stuff about the apps available for children with autism. We also bought it because one of the things he loves is the CBeebies website and we thought that his being able to access it directly by touching the screen, rather than making one of us click on the content he wanted, would be good for him. But of course (!) this site operates using Flash and Apple won't have it, so he can't do that. I am a bit angry about that, for all that I know I shouldn't be. Really.

Ian, there's at least one cheap app that lets you use Flash on your iPad. It's a browser called iSwifter.
I replied
Excellent, thanks Stephen! I'll give it a shot...
But no joy. So today I posted this:
Update, and plea for help: I tried this iSwifter app that Stephen kindly put me on to, but it was no go I'm afraid - it still won't play the games I was talking about. Then I bought an Archos 10.1 and should have LISTENED TO JEFF because it is a pile of shite which logs off the internet after five minutes or so ALL THE TIME and has STOPPED SUPPORTING FLASH ANYWAY even though it advertises itself as SUPPORTING FLASH.
If anyone can help me I'll send you a no-prize. There is, apparently, an app available to download for what I want the ipad to do but only in INDIA, for the sake of CHRIST ALMIGHTY...
I googled a bit, and I assume that the app you want is Cbeebies on the go, right? A BBC app that is available in some countries, including India, but not in the UK.
If so, do this:
1) Go to iTunes, log off your account, and scroll to the bottom. Click on your store's flag to change it.
2) Select the store you want. Browse or search the store until you find the app you want. Click "Buy"
3) You will be prompted to create an account. Do so. Use the address of an hotel or a McDonalds in India (there are McDonalds, there right?) Select "None" as payment method. Complete the registration.
That's pretty much it.
If what you want is not Cbeebies on the Go and it's a paid app, it's more difficult. I couldn't find iTunes India cards on sale, but they might be there.
I hope that helps.
