Chris Claremont and Paul Levitz planned for a crossover with Uncanny X-Men and Legion like this. When the Imperial Guard first fought the X-Men back in the late 70s, Levitz was supposed to have the Legion battle a group that were supposed to be X-Men equivalents in a similar battle, but something occurred on Levitz end that kept it from happening.

Ahhh...thanks, Flamebait - I love stuff like this. I recall how much I liked the X-Men/Teen Titans crossover in the 80's, and I wasn't even a fan of either comic. I just loved the idea of a Marvel/DC crossover. :)
